Thinking Summer On Cold January Days!

Stop the Winter time blues by thinking of the warm Summer months with North Shore Day Camps with Language camps and adventure camps for children. As the month of January winds down the talk of summer camp increases. Parents, campers, former camps, staff and applicants are a part of the conversation. We seem to begin by talking about the “gloom” of the wintry weather (as it has not snowed in weeks!) and quickly shift to talking about sunshine and warm summer days. Then the conversation shifts - ultimately focused on relationships and shared summer experiences.

No matter who you talk to, the memories of past summers are shared. For most, they are powerful memories, linked to happy emotions. I reflect on the conversations and realize that the connectedness camp provides people of all ages is meaningful. The activities we do together are fondly remembered. The activities are remembered for the fun and enjoyment. As we continue to talk, the emotions of happiness and joy are shared. When people take the time to share their experiences and share their emotions it is heartwarming, as we affirm, camp makes a difference.

Good conversations on these winter days. Helps in planning the activities for the coming summer. More fun, more friendships and ultimately, more fulfillment for all of our campers and staff.
